Live like a celeb for a few nights at one of these infamous hangouts:

The Villa Casa Casuarina, South Beach, Miami

Fancy swimming in a pool lined with 24-carat gold tiles? You can at the Villa Casa Casuarina in Miami’s South Beach. Once Versace’s home, it’s now a boutique hotel. The décor inside screams Versace – think painted frescos, bright-print bedding and velvet cushions. Dadeland Mall, Miami’s original and most iconic shopping centre, is about a 30 minute drive from The Villa Casa Casuarina. Grab a taxi, or if you’re driving, there is plenty of free parking and you can even treat yourself to valet parking for an extra fee. Dadeland Mall is also accessible by public transport. Find out how to get there.

Caesars Palace, Las Vegas

Caesars Palace is a true landmark on the Las Vegas Strip, boasting nearly 4,000 rooms, eight swimming pools, one of the largest casinos in Vegas and The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace. The backdrop to countless films over the years, including The Hangover and The Hangover Part III, Ocean’s Eleven, Dreamgirls and Iron Man, and a host venue for live music and sports entertainment, this is the place to see and be seen in Vegas.

The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace is known as ‘the shopping wonder of the world’. Imagine strolling along an ancient Roman street, with vivid painted skies overhead, statues that come alive and more than 130 name-brand, designer and speciality shops and restaurants at your fingertips.

The NoMad Hotel, New York

If it’s good enough for Beyoncé, then it’s good enough for the rest of us! Queen Bey had her 35th birthday at The NoMad Hotel, named because it’s just north of Madison Square Park. There are some uber-classy interior touches such as clawfoot bathtubs, leather chairs and French writing tables.

When in the shopping mecca of New York, don’t miss a visit to Woodbury Common Premium Outlets, featuring 250 of the most sought-after, high-end fashion brands in the world. Well worth the visit, Woodbury Common is just over an hour’s drive out of the city, or easily accessible with frequent daily bus services from Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan.

Hotel Del Coronado, California,

Thanks to it doubling as the Seminole Ritz in the 1959 movie Some Like It Hot, the Hotel Del Coronado near San Diego in Southern California is a legendary celeb hotspot. Stars Marilyn Monroe and Tony Curtis aren’t the only famous people to have spent time here. Presidents from Roosevelt to Clinton have been guests, and author L. Frank Baum wrote much of the Wizard of Oz there too.

Expect all the mod cons, rooms have beachy coastal interiors, there’s a world class spa and also an infinity pool. Once you’ve done all the celeb spotting you can handle, embrace the coastal chic lifestyle at Fashion Valley, where you can shop more than 200 designer and name-brand stores in the beautiful surrounds of living succulent walls, swaying palm trees and iconic fountains.  Located just 10 minutes north of downtown San Diego, arrive by car, taxi, bus or trolley.
